Dental emergency
Dental emergency: what to do
How to get help quickly in Pérols, Carnon or Palavas, depending on the day and time.
Call or book online
Call the practice on +33 4 28 70 61 07 or book the “Urgence dentaire” appointment type on Doctolib. Any available slot can be booked for an emergency, and new patients are welcome.
In the Hérault area, an on-call dentist service runs from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm. Call 15: the operator will direct you to the on-call dentist.
Toothache
Avoid hot, cold and sugary food on the painful side. Ask a pharmacist which painkiller suits you.
Swelling or abscess
Do not apply heat and do not try to drain it. See a dentist quickly.
Broken tooth
Keep the fragment in milk or a damp clean cloth and see a dentist the same day if possible.
Adult tooth knocked out
Hold it by the crown, rinse briefly in cold water if dirty, put it back if you can or keep it in milk, and see a dentist immediately. Do not put back a baby tooth.
Bring your EHIC (EU) or GHIC (UK) card, or your travel insurance details, and a list of any medicines you take.
